Today, I finally force myself to find out (and remember) the difference between the word “effect‘ and “affect“.
Under majority circumstances, we use affect as a verb and effect as a noun.
Affect – (verb) = “influence”, “modify”, “alter”, as in “your attitude will affect how successful you are”
Effect – (noun) = “outcome”, “a result”, as in “The effect was amazing”
So how am i going to remember their difference?
For affect, i will relate it to the word action since it starts with the letter a, and action means “moving”, “doing”, so it must be verb.
For effect with an e, i will relate it to the word eventually, because “outcome”, “a result” will only comes at the end (eventually”
If the above methods are still not good enough, then i might go into this:
“The meticulously organized training course by Bumi Konsep affected the participation of everyone, the effect was yet another great training experience.”
